This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions for shipping services provided by Khichad. Please read this policy carefully to understand our shipping procedures, delivery times, and your responsibilities.
Khichad offers various shipping services including standard delivery, express shipping, and same-day delivery (where available). Service availability may vary based on location, package size, weight, and destination. We reserve the right to determine the most appropriate shipping method based on your package specifications.
Shipping rates are calculated based on package weight, dimensions, destination, and selected service level. Rates are provided at the time of booking and must be paid before shipment processing. Additional charges may apply for oversized items, special handling, or remote locations. All prices are in INR unless otherwise specified.
Standard delivery: 3-5 business days. Express shipping: 1-2 business days. Same-day delivery: Available in select cities for orders placed before 12 PM. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Actual delivery may vary due to factors beyond our control including weather, traffic, holidays, and customs clearance for international shipments.
We provide shipping services to 50+ locations across major cities and regions. Service availability can be verified during the booking process by entering your pickup and delivery postal codes. Some remote or restricted areas may not be serviceable or may require additional delivery time and charges.
All packages must be properly packed and labeled. Fragile items must be marked and adequately protected. We recommend using sturdy boxes and appropriate cushioning materials. Maximum weight limit: 50kg per package. Maximum dimensions: 120cm x 80cm x 80cm. Packages exceeding these limits require special handling and approval.
We do not ship: hazardous materials, flammable substances, explosives, illegal drugs or substances, weapons and ammunition, perishable food items (without proper packaging), live animals, cash or negotiable instruments exceeding specified limits, tobacco products (where restricted), and any items prohibited by law or regulation.
Proper documentation is required for all shipments. This includes sender and recipient details, package contents declaration, value declaration for insurance purposes, and any required customs documents for international shipments. Incomplete or incorrect documentation may result in delays or return of shipments.
All shipments are provided with a unique tracking number. Real-time tracking is available through our website and mobile app. You will receive notifications at key stages: package picked up, in transit, out for delivery, and delivered. SMS and email notifications can be configured in your account settings.
We make up to three delivery attempts at the specified address. If delivery cannot be completed after three attempts, the package will be held at our facility for 7 days. Recipient will be notified via SMS and email. After 7 days, unclaimed packages will be returned to sender at sender's expense.
High-value shipments (above INR 10,000) require signature confirmation. Recipients must present valid government-issued ID for verification. Alternative delivery options include: leaving package with authorized person, delivery to designated safe location (if approved), or pickup from nearest Khichad service center.
Basic insurance coverage up to INR 5,000 is included with all shipments. Additional insurance can be purchased for higher-value items at 1% of declared value. Claims for loss or damage must be filed within 7 days of delivery or scheduled delivery date. All claims are subject to terms and conditions of our insurance policy.
For international shipments, customs duties, taxes, and clearance fees are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise arranged. Packages may be delayed for customs inspection. We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by customs authorities. All customs-related queries should be directed to the relevant customs office.
Delivery address can be modified before the package is dispatched for delivery. Address change requests must be made through customer support. Address changes may incur additional charges if the new location requires re-routing. Once a package is out for delivery, address changes cannot be accommodated.
Deliveries may be delayed due to severe weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to deliver packages as soon as conditions permit. Delivery guarantees do not apply during force majeure events.
